I always find mountain tops to be a great exercise in shading and texture, so stick around to the end to see how this comes out. I’m using only the first row of the 100 color palette from @grabieofficial here except for the sky, where I’m using a few of the more pearlescent and pastel colors in the palette. This pallete is huge, and luxurious at a bargain. If you purchase yours from my showcase, I earn a small commission. I’m pretty new to watercolors, so here’s me making a mistake that likely every person makes getting to know these materials. You’re supposed to do wet on dry, or dry on wet. You can do wet on wet (it’s not illegal) but it is tricky. But at the end of this video, I do wet on wet, and you can see why it’s a bad idea for beginners. This amount of flow is hard to control, and it can make colors muddy. Thankfully, if you’re quick, you can always use a sponge or some kind of absorbent fabric or paper towel to salvage if you too make the same kind of error by putting down too much liquid. #w#watercolorsa#artp#paintingp#paintingtipse#explorec#creativityw#watercolorartt#timelapseartt#timelapsel#learninge#exploringart
