If the dispersion of your shots with your driver looks anything like the first clip here.. then it might help to cut down your driver đ¤ . Did you know that driver lengths have been creeping up more and more as years go on? . For the average consumer buying a new driver, their main priority / what they want to see is a long ball.. (just more distance regardless of where itâs going) even if it happens 1 in 10 shots . And so by selling stock drivers straight off the shelf at a longer length, this can maximise how much further said driver will go . And as a result of that it makes it a lot more difficult to be as consistent as it once was when it was shorter and more practical . Which is why a lot of tour players (even the taller players) are using drivers that are shorter than that of which you pick a driver up off the shelf at . (Playing length of drivers can also vary from brand to brand and even from one type of shaft to another even in two stock options) . If you think about it, you may hit your longest drive with the longer shaft, but hitting off centre constantly will decrease the average distance a lot as well.. and so with a shorter length club, if the dispersion is a lot better and more out of the middle then the shorter length club could probably end up having a longer average distance anyway . Before you go ahead chopping down shafts though, you could try by putting some tape around the top to start with to experiment different lengths/ feels to see what feels the best and then make the commitment of cutting it down if needed . . . . . . . . #golf #golfswing #golfshot #golftips #golftip #golfdrills #golfdrill #golfstagram #golfaddict #golfaddicts #golfaddiction #golfaddicted #golffitting #fittedclubs #fittedgolfclubs #driver #golfdriver #golfdrivers #golfislife #golflife #golfinstruction #golfing #golfinstructor #golfer #golfpro #golfperformance #golfcoach #lukehanlon #lukehanlongolf
