These three videos are:Because of the position of my bag, we always book extra leg room seats for long-haul flights. This means I can let the bag fill without putting too much pressure on it. I was paying for them until someone informed me that if you have a disability, they will be allocated for free (and you get extra baggage allowance for medical supplies, by the way). I contacted @British Airways weeks before who ensured I got the extra space. On the flight home however we were moved without warning and I was stuck in a middle row seat, all cramped up for 11 hrs. The flight was fully booked so we could not move. The flight attendants said we could ask people to move if we wanted, but that those people had paid for extra leg room, had ‘long legs’ and would likely not want to. Apparently even if you have allocated seats because of a disability, someone can still purchase those seats. In my opinion that’s putting profit over people’s safety and comfort.. if you have an allocated seat due to a disability, that should be locked in. Luckily my bag didn’t explode entirely, but it did leak on my skin and my clothes. You guys know I’m not ashamed of my bag, but for someone who may be, and had just had surgery and their bag leaked - they may be put off travelling altogether. It can be humiliating when your bag leaks in an enclosed space, not to mention a health and safety issue. Overall I’d say I’ve found airline staff extremely accommodating for those with a stoma, but sometimes it feels like it’s not taken seriously or seen as a disability at all. I’ve been met with all kinds of attitudes about this, but I feel they still have some work to do… what do you guys think? Please give this a share and tag BA so they can take a look at those policies.; Replying to @Cheryl Today I had a really positive phone call with a great member of staff at BA. They apologised for their mistake and they put me in touch with the person to speak to about making changes moving forward. I’ll keep you all posted on that! And as I said, I see my stoma as something that gave me back the ability to do anything I want to in life - not hinder it. This is, and has been my whole message for as long as I’ve been posting online. One video of a real experience should not change that. I won’t pretend it’s always easy, but I would choose it over suffering with IBD any day. Remember no stoma is the same, we all have different experiences with them and should respect how individuals feel about their own conditions. You absolutely do not need to fear travelling. It’s my favourite thing to do! Go enjoy life guys 💙; AD | What makes the stoma bag I use so different, and why does it fit my body so well? Your stoma and body profile are as individual as you are, and they can change over time. That's why it's essential to ensure that the stoma products you're using meet your needs, also when these needs change. I use the Sensura Mio Concave, and in the video, I show you why. Discover the BodyCheck tool in my bio to find out, what matches your stoma. @Coloplast

01:43I had some symptoms unusual for me and my heart didn’t feel too good for a few days. Thankfully it’s likely to be due an excess intake of stimulants such as caffeine and/or lower levels of potassium and magnesium. Feeling fine now and will go and get some further tests back in the UK. I guess I couldn’t come to the US without trying out their medical system as a health content creator 🫣 Also advice to anyone holidaying in the US - pay for travel insurance!! You never know when you might need it. This short visit would have cost over $3,500 😬
